ARC WEPTAC / DCP
at TUCSON, AZ
Since 1982, AATC has hosted the ARC WEPTAC each October in Tucson, Arizona with the primary objective of identifying critical capability shortfalls for ARC weapons systems, missions, and training priorities. Representatives from both the ANG and AFRC field units work through mission weapon system (MWS) working groups to partake in cross-functional discussions with shared mission units and supporting staffs.
The upcoming ARC WEPTAC/DCP introduces a revised conference structure designed to improve collaboration across operational communities and industry partners. This year's event combines WEPTAC and DCP into a more integrated forum, emphasizing focused Working Group discussions, cross-functional Task Force Breakouts, and deliberate validation of Modernization Book priorities.
Attendees will break into focused Working Groups to drive deep, community-specific discussions, while the introduction of Task Force Breakouts creates a new layer of cross-functional dialogue aimed at validating and refining Modernization Book outputs rather than developing new proposals from scratch. This blend of structured working sessions and targeted cross-functional collaboration is intended to better align capabilities with the National Defense Strategy while fostering meaningful engagement with hundreds of industry partners at the venue. By midweek, the conference returns to its traditional rhythm of refining and finalizing priorities, building upon the collaborative discussions conducted earlier in the week to identify, validate, and refine ARC capability priorities.
ARC WEPTAC attendance is by approval only and is government only
GENERAL ATTENDANCE (Ranks O-5 and below, CIVs & Govn’t/DoD CTRs):
To attend ARC WEPTAC, it is mandatory that you register.
o Important! Registration to SAP access will close 30 days later (28 August). You MUST ensure your PSQ date does not expire prior to 31 October 2026. If it does, you must resolve it at your home station with your assigned security manager.
The 180, 120, 60 & 30- Day Messages are NOT an invitation to attend. Attendee representation at ARC WEPTAC will be restricted to those ensuring mission priorities are presented during the working group and will be at the discretion of the MWS Chair.
Your registration will be reviewed by your MWS Working Group Chair, who will approve or deny your attendance. To advocate for your participation, please contact your MWS Chair directly (list of Chairs is on the Chairs tab above).
Those not on the approved list will not be badged or allowed into any breakout. Each working group has been allotted a specific number of attendee slots.
GENERAL OFFICER, SES, GS-15 & COLONEL ATTENDANCE:
The 180, 120, 60 & 30- Day Messages are NOT an invitation to attend.
Participation in the working groups is not permitted.
Colonels: you will need to register. Your registration will be reviewed by the AATC/CC, who will approve or deny your attendance.
General Officers, SESs and GS-15s: you will receive an invitation from the AATC/CC
ALL ATTENDEES:
MWS working group representation at ARC WEPTAC / DCP is restricted to ranks O-5 and below, CIVs & Govn’t/DoD CTRs. Attendance will be strictly enforced.
Final arbitration for unresolved issues will be addressed by the AATC/CC.
